Notes:	School records (and subsequent legal records) were altered to show a birthdate of 1932 so she could attend school with her older brother Charles. (Need to obtain copies of said school records.) Jessie applied for a Social Security Number on 9/13/1951, under her married name of Jessie Taylor. She was unemployed, living with her husband and infant daughter Liz on Wilson Rd in Tampa. Jessie falsified her birth date on this document as 3 April 1930; she claimed to be 21 years old, but she was actually not yet 18. From a letter postmarked 3 Aug 2001: "I'm not going to be much help with telling you what a real wedding is like. The only one I had with a preacher and in a church was when I married Richard and we just had his Dad and Bertha and our two closest friends stand up with us. So it was just a few words said in a church. "Now for family, I really don't know that much about my great-grandparents. But my uncles had initials for names: one was JC Bishop. He may still be alive; he kind of just run away from the family and didn't come back. John D. drowned in Ruskin. The letters in their names was part of their names and I never knew what they stood for. "Now Mama I don't know if she had a birth record or not and I don't know where she went to school. Probably in Alabama or North Fla. She did live in Chipley. That is where I started to school. She lived in DeFuniak Springs when I was born. Cottondale is a place to keep in mind. That is closer to DeFuniak than Chipley." Memaw had been released from her nursing home in Medina, Ohio in early 2002, and was living on her own in an apartment in Lakewood when she went into the hospital with pneumonia in early Winter. Additional scans and x-rays revealed tumors in her lungs, which tested cancerous. After that, she was in and out of the hospital and another local nursing home, after realizing she could no longer live on her own with her health issues. Easter 2003 was her last coherent family visit, and she died about three weeks later. Buried 2 June 2003 at Riverside Cemetary, Parma, Ohio.

We were in the pink house in Ruskin and I had not yet started at East Bay I don't think. I was 12 when we got to Ruskin and I think this was before I was 13 but if not it was right after. I will see if I can get that exact date for you.
